Hot pancakes

These pancakes are a plus 5 years I tried to get pancakes that were soft and fluffy like McDonald’s hotcakes. My kids really enjoyed this dish for breakfast with maple syrup.

Most of the existing recipes use butter in the pancake batter but I found it to use melted fat 100% like cooking oil gives the best results. Butter is only used as a topping.

Both, buttermilk will also give pancakes that are more fluffy and soft than regular fresh milk. Buttermilk is quite hard to come by in regular stores and supermarkets so we can make our own using milk and lemon juice. All three, to get a squishy pancake, do not use any oil while frying, instead use a non-stick pan.

Pancakes are actually very easy to prepare and can be matched with a variety of toppings like maple syrup, butter, banana slices, fresh fruits, jem, chocolate sauce or Nutella and assorted more.

Ingredients

120g ( 1 cups )g wheat flour
20g ( 2 small spoon ) gula
5g ( 1/2 small spoon ) salt
10g (1 small spoon ) baking powder
250ml ( 1 cups ) fresh milk
30ml ( 2 tablespoons ) lemon juice

1 an egg
62.5ml (1/4 cups) cooking oil
10ml ( 1 small spoon) esen vanilla
Banana slices and butter

Method

  1. Put plain wheat flour into a suitable container , if you want softer, you can use cake flour.
  2. Add a teaspoon of sugar ( 20g ), 1/2 spoons of salt ( 5g) and 1 spoon of baking powder (10g). Mix well and use an egg beater if available. If the ingredients don't mix well, pancakes will not rise evenly and are less fluffy. Mix BEFORE adding the wet ingredients, It's hard to even out when you've mixed wet ingredients.
  3. The secret of soft pancakes is buttermilk, we will make our own by mixing 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to 1 cups (250ml) fresh milk. Add little by little and stir until the milk thickens a little like this. Lemon juice will also give a special flavor to the pancakes.
  4. Add buttermilk or our milk and lemon juice mixture to the dry ingredients.
  5. Add 1 egg seeds and 1/4 cup of cooking oil ( 62.5ml. Mix but just mix the ingredients if they are still lumpy, it doesn't matter. Leave it 2-3 minutes.
  6. When it starts to foam, add 1 teaspoon vanilla seasoning, and mix slowly. Leave to rest for a while 8-10 minutes, for flour absorb wet ingredients and act baking powder.
  7. When it foams again like this, pancakes are ready to be cooked.
  8. To cook pancakes, use a non-stick pan for best results i.e. a flattened and evenly colored pancake surface. The secret is to use a small flame because we want the pancakes to cook slowly. If the fire is too big, the pancakes will be quickly charred before the insides are cooked.
  9. Notice the bubbles will start to appear on the edges, then all over the pancake surface. This is a sign that our baking powder is acting well. Note the bottom so that it is not too dark.
  10. After , the edges are starting to harden, It's time for us to turn the pancakes over. The surface of the pancakes should be golden yellow and smooth.
  11. Cook for approx 1 minutes more and repeat for her next pancake. Try to get a pancake size that is about the same size so that it is beautiful when arranged.
  12. To avoid the bottom of the pancakes leman after cooking , place on cooling rack or net.
  13. Our pancakes are ready to be served with a little butter, banana chunks and maple syrup.
