Garlic Bread- Garlic Bread

Garlic bread is a very popular side dish eaten with western foods such as mushroom soup, pasta and pizza. There are a wide variety of ways and recipes for this cuisine but, my favorite is the crispy garlic bread with a fairly strong garlic flavor.

Many people try to make garlic bread at home but encounter one of the 2 problem. First of all the garlic is not cooked enough and still tastes raw. Both, if we bake until the raw taste of garlic disappears, the bread was also burnt and bitter.

After several attempts, I came up with one of the most effective recipes by cooking butter and garlic in a mirko oven first to get rid of the raw taste of garlic. This allows us to bake for a long enough period of time to dry the bread but not too long until the bread burns.

For a tastier garlic bread, i use fresh herbs sage and parsley sprinkled on the bread after baking. If there are no fresh herbs, the dried ones can also be used but reduce a little because dried herbs taste stronger.

Ingredients

50g Butter
7-8 cloves garlic
French long loaf
2-3 fresh sage leaves/ 1/4 teaspoon dried sage
3-4 pieces of parsley leaves / 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley

Method

  1. Finely chopped garlic
  2. The butter is cut into cubes so it's nice to melt.
  3. Put the butter and garlic in a small bowl and heat in the microwave for about 1 minutes and 45 seconds depending on the size of the oven. Remove and let cool slightly.
  4. Cut French bread according to the size of your choice.
  5. Spread melted butter and garlic on the bread.
  6. Bake in the oven at a temperature of 240°C for 3-4 minutes. Make sure the oven is preheated before baking.
  7. While the bread is baked , prepare herbs if using fresh herbs.
  8. Roll and fold the sage leaves and slice thinly.
  9. Parsley leaves are also finely sliced.
  10. Remove the bread from the oven and sprinkle with herbs before serving.
