Lemongrass Rice

Nasi serai is less known than nasi ayam or nasi lemak but it is one of the rice dishes that is very easy to prepare and delicious. This recipe is quite different from most lemongrass rice recipes because it uses lemongrass juice to get a stronger lemongrass flavor..

Ingredients

4 basmati rice pot measuring cup
6 lemongrass stalks
3 strands of pandan leaves
1 cinnamon stick
3 cloves
3 cardamom seeds
3 sliced ​​garlic cloves

1cm ginger sliced
2 tablespoons of Ghee
1 chicken stock cube
1 1/2 teaspoons of salt

Method

  1. Grandchild rice so that the water becomes clear and soak it for 20 minutes.
  2. Take 3 lemongrass stalk and cut along 4-5 cm each piece.
  3. Beat in a blender with 500m or 2 cup of water until smooth.
  4. Strain with a coarse strainer followed by a fine strainer to get the lemongrass water and set aside.
  5. Baki 3 lemongrass stalks are cut 2 so happy to be sauteed. Drizzle the lemongrass after cutting.
  6. Melt beef oil in a skillet and heat it.
  7. When the oil is hot, Add the cloves, cardamom and cinnamon.
